On Tuesday, Baselode Energy and Yathi Nene Lands and Resources (YNLR) announced an Exploration Agreement that will see the two companies join forces in order to explore potential resources in the Western Australian Pilbara region.
This agreement follows on from a Letter of Intent that was signed earlier in the year, and it marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership. Baselode and YNRL have both expressed that this agreement is in line with their respective strategies, and they are looking forward to the potential opportunities that could be created by this collaboration.
Baselode is an Australian-based exploration and production company that has been operating in Western Australia since 2000. It has a portfolio of more than 70 exploration licences and producing resources, covering an area of around 2,500 square kilometres.
YNRL is an Aboriginal corporation that is owned and controlled by Yawuru people, one of the traditional custodians of the Western Australian Pilbara region. It has a strong commitment to providing the resources and services necessary to the development of the Aboriginal communities in the region.
Under the terms of the agreement, Baselode will be responsible for the exploration activities in the region. This includes seismic surveys, geological mapping and drilling for the establishment of reserves. On the other hand, YNRL will provide the necessary land and resources access rights for the exploration activities.
This exploratory agreement between Baselode and YNRL is a great step forward for both companies and for the people of the Pilbara region.
