“Gov. Haley’s SC: Experience Beijing with CCP Linked Group!

Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina recently announced a new partnership between her state and the China Culture and Art Development Group (CCADG) that will send 20 South Carolina students on a trip to Beijing this summer. This deal marks a new chapter in the state’s relationship with the organization, which has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The students chosen for the trip will have the chance to explore China’s history, culture, and language. They will stay in Beijing for two weeks and be accompanied by teachers from South Carolina, who will provide instruction and guidance. During the trip, the students will also have the opportunity to tour some of the city’s famous sights, as well as villages in the countryside. The students will also participate in cultural activities, such as attending a Peking Opera performance, preparing their own Chinese-style dinner, and taking part in a traditional tea ceremony. They will also have the chance to take part in a series of debates with Chinese students on topics like the environment and the economy. All of these experiences will be intended to help the students gain a better understanding of China and its culture. The partnership between CCADG and South Carolina began in 2013, with the organization’s invitation to the state’s teachers to take part in a series of seminars and experiences about China. Since then, the partnership has grown to include other initiatives, such as sending students from South Carolina on international exchanges as well as helping the state’s schools develop bilingual Chinese language courses. The trip to Beijing this summer, however, marks the first time CCADG has extended this program to high school students. This is an exciting development, as it will give these students first-hand experience of another culture and broaden their educational horizons in the process.
